My wife and I travel around the world to see family. We are in our mid 70’s. In all our years of travelling we have always had some, usually quite small, issues with the rental company. However, this time it was different. No hassle, no issues. All staff very welcoming. Perfect from start to finish. The rental name on the cars is Avis. If in doubt just make sure that Dubo works there. You will not be disappointed. Oh by the way the cars are also excellent.

Encouraged by reviews I decided to try Ragusa car rental - using a small local company. I am so glad we did. Communication was direct with Dubo and was quick, professional and friendly from start to end. Car was delivered to our apartment in Dubrovnik and returned to the port as we were getting a boat - at no extra cost. Car was as requested. Due to getting stuck at Montenegrin border for even longer than expected (3 hours!) we were an hour late returning the car, however we were able to communicate directly with Dubo and then his driver who were understanding and very kind about the situation. Really recommend using this company if you are in Dubrovnik. Much better than the usual big companies.

I rented a car in UNI-RENT. Prices were quite good and they looked nice after some emails... I have just given the car I rented back. I had paid to have full coverage insurance because I did not want to have any problem. They strongly recommended it to me to avoid any problem in my trip... When they gave me the car they told to me that I should call the office if the tyre or the front glass got broken and that I should call the police in case of a colission. I have just given the car back and they have charged me with an extra amount of 1000 kunas for a small scratch in the back of the car. It was not an accident , it was just a little scratch (Car accident is not defined in the Car Rental Conditions). They said I should have called the police for that scratch... I paid for the full coverage insurance but they charge me more for this scratch. I do not recomend it at all. DO NOT RENT A CAR WITH UNI-RENT.

 Verified Amazing Service in Ragusa with Dubo!
Renting a car in Dubrovnik airport was so frustrating and expensive. We got scammed with ACE Car Rental where they tried to charge us 3 times the quoted price with ridiculous add-ons that were "required". But then we walked to Ragusa and found an amazing man Dubo he made our day. He gave us the best price for a brand new SUV without up-charging for extra things like some of the others tried to do. Our car was great, service was awesome and without the hassles. We are so grateful to find Dubo at Ragusa car rental. HIGHLY recommend!

We often make a point of using local car rental firms when on holiday abroad as generally you get better service and are less likely to fall victim to additional charges. Arriving at Dubrovnik Airport we needed a car for a week's holiday travelling round Croatia. On going to the Ragusa's kiosk there was no hard sell, just a desire to give us the right car for our trip and at a very fair price for Volkswagen Polo. It was the perfect car - and an easy, quick return at the end of the week. I have no hesitation in recommending this hire company to other travelers
